Single Session Mentoring
An hour of time with a senior business leader can help you avoid costly career mistakes. Are you about to take on a new role or new job? Are you feeling stalled in your career? Did you hope to achieve more the past year? Sit down with one of our experienced career Mentors for an hour and take in quality advice to accelerate your next step.

Quarterly Mentoring Program
We believe mentoring is best done over time. Our quarterly mentoring program provides consistent access to the same mentor over the course of a year with one meeting each quarter.

Annual Mentoring Program
Your career is the biggest investment of time and money. If you believe in constant improvement, and want to accelerate your career potential, our annual mentoring program is for you. We provide consistent access to the same mentor over the course of a year with an hour long meeting each month, and 6 additional hours of preparation or research by your mentor to bring the most to each session. In these sessions, your mentor will take you through the following activities:

• Review of career history, core skills, competencies, and achievements.
• Review of personal goals, objectives, expectations, and timelines.
• Review and identification of key issues, concerns, or topics to evaluate.
• Advice to focus future action and analysis on a limited set of core issues.
• Advice to set expectations for development in a reasonable timeframe.
• Advice to develop core skills and competencies in line your goals
• Advice to develop an action plan to help address core issues.
• Evaluation of progress against action plan and development plan.

We have developed a Standard Mentoring Program which may be fully customized to best suit your requirements whether you have less than 10 or over 10,000 staff. A typical corporate mentoring program will include:
 
Target Staff Analysis
We work with you to target your mentoring programs to meet your business objectives covering all staff, top talent, or specific professions

Mentor Identification
We will work with you to identify mentors who are most suited to contributing most to the program.

Mentor Training
Training is provided to each nominated mentor in program focusing on providing mentor with core mentoring skills, an understanding of the corporate expectations placed on them.

Communications Program
Regular communication is essential throughout a mentoring program. All participates will receive regular information through all three phases of the program. This will include informative reporting as well as face to face meetings around mentor matching, occurrence of mentor / mentee meetings, and satisfaction surveys.

Matching the Mentor with the Mentee
It is critical to map mentees with well suited mentors. My Open University will work with you to outline key selection parameters.

External Mentors
My Open University has a network of mentors from a variety of industries, business functions, and experience levels. Where it is appropriate for a particular mentee, My Open University can provide an external mentor to participate in the program.

Program Management and Monitoring
Execution and follow ups are critical to realization of benefits in a mentoring program. A nominated program coordinator will provide regular updates on the status of the program, and critical issues which need to be addressed for continued success.

Our programs modules include the following:

Mentoring Skills and Application - Basics
This module is run over one day and is targeted at both mentors and mentees. It focuses on what is mentoring, the benefits of mentoring, mentoring vs. coaching, expectations of mentors and mentees, setting goals and strategies, informal agreements, motivational techniques, and management of the mentoring process.

Mentoring for Career Development
This module is run over one day and is targeted at mentors. It focuses on case studies and mentoring outcomes. Mentors are taken through an agenda about how to set up a mentoring agreement, how to structure their mentoring sessions, ways to discuss and set goals and to begin work on strategies for achieving the goals. Throughout the material examples of career goals and career progression are used from real mentoring situations.
